Biography:  1968 - Hedi Slimane was born in Paris
          1996 - Pierre Bergé appoints him Director of Mens Wear at Yves Saint
          Laurent, later he becomes artistic director
          Revives Yves Saint Laurent rive gauche based on the ‘Ateliers de
          Couture’, transposes the spirit of Couture ‘Au Masculin’
          2000 - Slimane is appointed as Christian Dior´s Creative Director of
          Menswear, he creates Dior Homme
          Imposes his new male silhouette - stretched
          The ‘Skinny Look’ combined with the thin black tie becomes his
          signature
          2002 - First menswear designer to receive the CFDA Award for
          International Designer
          2007 - Hedi Slimane moves to Los Angeles after not renewing his
          contract with Dior
          2012 - Yves Saint Laurent appoints him as Creative Director
          First Saint Laurent Paris Collection by Hedi Slimane
          Creation of a new boutique concept in Shanghai

Biography:  1936 - Yves Mathieu-Saint-Laurent was born in Oran, Algeria
          1954 - Moves to Paris and enrolls at Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de
          la Haute Couture
          1955 - Michel de Brunhoff, Vogue Paris Editor-in-Chief, introduces him to
          Christian Dior; he hires Yves Saint Laurent as his personal assistant
          1957 - After Christian Dior´s death, he takes over the Fashion House
          1958 - YSL presents ‘The Trapeze Line’, his first collection
          Yves Saint Laurent meets Pierre Bergé
          Receives the Neiman Marcus Award
          1959 - YSL´s first theater costume designs - Cyrano de Bergerac by
          Roland Petit
          1960 - Saint Laurent was fired by Dior fashion house
          1961 - Along Pierre Bergé he opens Yves Saint Laurent fashion house
          1962 - Presentation of his collection at 30, bis rue Spontini, Paris
          1965 - YSL designs the Mondrian Dress, his first tribute to art
          1966 - YSL designs his first tuxedo and tribute to Pop Art, Le Smoking

          1985 - Yves Saint Laurent was awarded with the rank of Chevalier de la
          Légion d’Honneur
          1988 - Tribute to Vincent van Gogh with the Iris and Sunflowers
          ensembles
          1992 - Celebration of the fashion house´s 30th Anniversary at L´Opéra
          Bastille
          1998 - YSL parades 300 models in Stade de France during the Soccer
          World Cup
          Bergé and Saint Laurent sponsor the renovation of two rooms of the
          National Gallery
          2002 - YSL announces his retirement
          Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent is state-approved
          2004 - The Foundation opens its doors to the public with the exhibition
          Yves Saint Laurent, Dialogue avec L´Art
          2007 - Yves Saint Laurent is elevated to the rank of Grand Officier de la
